I had the week off last week (lucky me!) and my boyfriend and I decided to have a 'staycation'.
I mean, there's so many awesome things to do in London, why would we go anywhere else?
One of the best things we did was an Alternative London Tour around East London. Led by our friendly tour guide Ben, we walked around familiar (and some unfamiliar) streets stopping only when he wanted to talk us through some amazing street art pieces. I've been shopping in Brick Lane loads of times, and I never noticed half the amazing works dotted around literally EVERYWHERE!
From the large and impressive to the subtle and cheeky, we learnt about so many cool new street artists (and heard some pretty funny stories too).
Sadly, when we went it was tipping it down with rain (but that just meant that we got pies and mash at Pieminister afterwards!)
Best of all? IT'S FREE! Better than that? It's been voted one of Time Out's "Top 5 Things to Do for Free in London".
